It is starting to get HOT! Calor! Calor! Calor!! Cool down with a nice cold glass of booze! Mint leaves, fresh raspberries, sugar, white rum, setlzer and lime! Who'd say no to that?
We rimmed our glasses with some raw sugar. A classic Cuban mojito is made with sugar cane so the raw sugar gives that traditional feel.
Muddle 2 teaspoons of sugar, mint leaves, raspberries and a squeeze of lime. This will bring out all the flavors. You're not making baby food, don't muddle too much.
Add rum, ice, seltzer, more lime and stir!
Then add flourishes...a couple more raspberries, more mint, a shell stirrer? :)
We got this Montezuma tiki cup from a restaurant supply store in Soho. We love him so much, we knew we needed him front and center! So, he ended up on our coffee table.
Plus, we've been waiting to plant our succulents...it was a perfect match. We topped them off with neon blue aquarium gravel for some color!
Succulents like it on the dryer side, so we mixed equal parts potting soil and equal parts sand. They need a draining source so we added about two inches of the aquarium gravel before adding the soil.
We love pasta salads...especially in the summer! Here are some of our favorite pasta salads we posted our first year of the blog. Clink on the links for the full recipe!
