These are my friends.

We're so excited to take out our Halloween decorations!

We have so many knick knacks from when we were kids...it's like seeing old friends.

Although challenging, we're trying to rearrange things differently than we did year.
Do you always put up your decorations in the same spot or move them around year to year?

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

Even quicker pumpkin latte.

We love our homemade pumpkin latte but this an easy version that's just as good!!!
Make this 3 ingredient base in advance then add to your favorite coffee/latte.

It can all be done to taste, but we like:

In a mason jar add-
1 can condensed milk.
1/3 of a can pumpkin puree.
Pumpkin pie spice
Shake it all up or stir well!
Spoon it in!

This mix should last about a week...if you don't eat it all first.

The best part of waking up, is pumpkin in your cup!

Make like a tree and leaf.

We found these great looking fake leaves at Michaels but they were attached to an ugly garland.  We decided to pluck off some leaves and hot glue them onto branches we found. And believe us, finding branches in Queens was not an easy task.

We put the branches in one of our smokey jars!

Fall is in the air!

Smells of the Season.

We just can't stop!
If you're not cooking some of your favorite fall recipes, try throwing this on your stove to welcome the fall and add some comfort to your home!

Making a stove top potpourri mix is a quick inexpensive way to make your home smell delicious!

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and fill with water.
You only need a drop or two of the vanilla extract.
Place on a low setting burner and enjoy!
Don't let the water completely evaporate, keep refilling.
One mix will stay good for a few days.

Bring on the cold weather!

Can you paint with all the colors of the leaves?

Honestly, we wanted to start decorating for Halloween...but decided to be patient.

Using card stock we cut out a whole bunch of leaves.
Folding them where the veins would be to give more dimension and a realistic feel.

Our windows look whimsical with falling leaves!

Hung with floral wire and tacks!

And this simple leaf garland!

Made with grey yarn and love!

Best part was we had all of these materials laying around our apartment.
We love not having to spend any money!

And now our apartment is ready to welcome Fall.
Jump in!

Smokey Lights.

Who doesn't love a bonfire on a crisp autumn night?!?

To recreate a smokey charred look we blackened the inside of each jar with a lighter.

Burn baby burn.

We love this for an autumn look and might even go darker for Halloween!
The best part is it took less than five minutes and it washes off easily!

Apple Sugar Cookie Crumb Cobbler, Y'all!

The best part of this cobbler is the simple, two ingredient, crumb topping!

Here's what you need:
4 apples cored, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp of cinnamon
3 tbs of melted room temp butter

1 package of pre-made sugar cookie dough
1/2 cup of dry old fashioned oats (or more if you want it really oat-y)

Here's how you make it:
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
In a large bowl combine apples, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Add Mixture to pie dish.

In a separate bowl mix by hand the sugar cookie dough and oats.
Sprinkle the cookie dough on top of the apples and throw her in the oven!

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown!

Serve with some ice cream and enjoy!!!!
It's amazing right out of the oven, but we like it even better reheated the next day!
The sugar cookie topping never fails.
