Cheers to a new year!

Where did this year go?!

This past year we wanted to save more and pay off some debt...that didn't happen...so we're starting this year with thrifty crafts for our cocktails!

Shish kebab skewers flourished with tinfoil, pipe cleaners and left over Christmas tinsel! 

Just a simple something to get the party...stirring!

Wrap on your toppers, hot glue and celebrate!

Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right!

'Cause Christmas is coming again! 

Star light, star bright!

We made our stars with paper straws and hot glue!

They are the perfect addition to our crafty tree.

And our Crafty Lumberjack garland!

Shoot for the stars!

A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight!

To make our wonder-hall-land we used two boxes of icicle lights and hung them on the ceiling with clear small Command hooks.

It looks so awesome, we might never take it down!

These trees were inspired by the tree lot in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and those awesome trees in the claymation version of "Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer"!

In theory they are pretty easy...just time consuming!

First, we got a piece of wood and cut it into triangle tree shapes.
Using washi tape, we taped out our branches!

With acrylic paint, we painted our washi taped trees.

Once they were dry, we pealed off the tape!

For our snowy base, we stacked and carved insulating foam using a pairing knife and sand paper! 
Such a mess...but totally worth it!

We made these snow globes a couple years back and never posted them! 

Well, here they are world!  Just kidding, we've all seen these. Haha.

The snow is epsom salt.

The Christmas cards were hung on the ribbon with care.

We have so many Christmas cards, our washi tape clothespin clothesline christmas card yarn garland couldn't hold them all...so this is our newest addition.  Loving it!

It's all about the fold!

Take those unwanted magazines and get folding and festive. 

It's a little time consuming but a great way to keep yourself busy while watching the holiday classics!

1. Fold the top right corner down along the inner spine.

2. Fold the first fold over one more time so that the page looks like a tie.

3. Fold up the bottom piece to create a flat and even edge!

Fold every page of the magazine...we warned you it would take awhile!
