There was a crooked house...

We made this glittery vintage style haunted house out of an .89 cent bird house from Michaels!! Don't believe us?? Check this out!

Our inspiration was this adorable house from Pottery Barn...so cute, yet so expensive.

We bought this birdhouse on a whim years ago...it had been waiting patiently amongst the other misfit craft items we haven't figured out what to do with.

We snapped off the bottom of the birdhouse and the little birdie perch and painted the outside black.
Then got creative with some cardstock.
A cute copy-cat crooked chimney, a door and a little side add on, just to change the look as much as possible.
Glueing the cardstock additions was time consuming, it took patience and steady hands.

We used spray adhesive for the glitter...lots and lots of black glitter.  And added an electronic tea light inside the bottom.
We chose spray adhesive over glue because glue would warp the card stock.
For you apartment dwellers like us- we sprayed and glittered inside a shoe box.
Barely any mess!
