#Addicted!
They are a gift you get in the morning you made yourself the night before...and look so cute in the jars!
Twas the night before Overnight Oats and all through the house...
It's basically cold oatmeal you make the night before, but it's all about the toppings! Strawberries, peanut/almond butter, bananas, jelly, berries...
The base of your oats is a 1/2 cup equal parts of oatmeal, yogurt and milk.
If you like your oatmeal thicker, use less milk or more oats...it's pretty foolproof.
Old fashioned oats work best.
Steel cut oats don't work best.
Almond butter and jelly is our favorite. Sometimes we go crazy and add a banana!
We like to put the almond butter in first and scrape around the inside of the jar with the back of the spoon...that way it's spread out evenly...soooy good!
Banana, pecans, cinnamon tastes like banana bread...just saying.
Close your jar tightly and shake your oats before putting it in your fridge over night.
Shake again before devouring.
And start all over again!
sounds like a good breakfast-on-the-go for a busy morning.
ReplyDeleteNot to sound dumb, but are you putting cooked oatmeal in the jar or raw oatmeal with the liquid and the toppings in the jar?

ReplyDeleteFreaking awesome! I used almond milk with cashew and apple butter. Love this! I'm suggesting this to all my McDonald's parfait loving friends. It's always better homemade. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE overnight oats - the possibilities are endless! I enjoy every single bite...and then I'm sad when they are gone. LOL
